Databases
A database stores one set of records while letting each team view the same records in the form that best fits the work.
01
Set up fields and records
Create a Grid from New page or embed one in a document. Add rows for records and use the Fields menu to rename, hide, or change a field type.
- 1.Add the columns your team needs, such as text, number, select, date, relation, media, or formula.
- 2.Click a cell to enter a value.
- 3.Resize columns and reorder rows to make the grid easier to use.
02
Make focused views
A single database can have Grid, Board, and Calendar views. Filters and sorts apply to the view, so they change what is shown without deleting records.
- 1.Use the view bar to add or switch views.
- 2.Open the filter menu and choose a field, operator, and value.
- 3.Add ascending or descending sort rules for the current view.
03
Choose the right layout
Grid is for direct data entry. Board groups cards by a Single select field and lets you move cards between columns. Calendar places dated records in month or week view.
